UMW Women's Swimmers Edge Gettysburg in Thrilling Fashion on Saturday; Fago Smashes School record in 100 Back

The University of Mary Washington women's swim team defeated Gettysburg College, 134-128, on Saturday at Goolrick Natatorium. The Eagles improve to 7-2 on the year.

Winners for the Eagles included the 200 yard medley relay of Katie Fago, Alex Parrish, Shannon Coryell, and Steph Hallock at 1:50.15; Hallock in the 200 free at 1:58.96; Fago in the 100 backstroke with a new school record and NCAA cut of 57.50; Abby Cox in the 200 fly at 2:14.27; Coryell in the 50 free at 24.90; Hallock in the 100 free at 54.81; Cox in the 500 free at 5:20.78; and Anna Corley in the 200 IM at 2:14.53.

The Eagles will return to action next Saturday when they host Marymount University and Frostburg State at 1 p.m.
