The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to eighth-ranked Johns Hopkins University on Homecoming Saturday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles slip to 7-8-1 on the season, heading to conference tournament play.

From there, the Eagles defense regrouped, and held JHU scoreless the rest of the way, successfully defending six second half shots and five second half corner kicks.

The Eagles will next compete in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, hosted by UMW next week. Final seedings, opponents, and game times will be announced on Monday.
