Kaitlyn Venzen, Hope Grzebien Named to VaSID All-State Women's Soccer Team

University of Mary Washington senior Hope Grzebien and freshman Kaitlyn Venzen have been named to the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State College Division Women's Soccer Team, released today.

Both players gain all-state honors after becoming the first Eagles to gain all-region honors since 2007.

Venzen, a the 2022 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, scored 11 goals in her freshman campaign and added one assist for 23 points. She provided the Eagles with four game-winning goals, including the game's lone score in a 1-0 win over UC Santa Cruz in the C2C tournament semifinal.

Grzebien, an all-conference selection at midfield, scored two goals and added two assists this season, including the game winning goals against Marymount and Salisbury.
