Senior women's soccer goalie Ally Holden has been named the Virginia Lottery/UMW Female Athlete of the Month.

Holden has led Mary Washington to a 7-2-3 start, allowing just six goals in nine contests, with a stingy 0.50 goals-against average for the season, with 30 saves. She went 600 minutes without giving up a score, as UMW has run its unbeaten streak to ten straight games.

Holden gained C2C Defensive Player of the Week in the last week of September, after running her shutout streak to four straight games.
