Balanced Attack Lifts UMW Women's Soccer Past Mt. Aloysius, 4-0

Four different players scored goals, and the defense turned in another clean scoresheet, as the University of Mary Washington women's socer team defeated Mount Aloysius College, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 6-2-3 on the season.

Senior Amanda Kreat started the proceedings for the Eagles, scoring at 10:36, and freshman Madison Bauserman followed with another score at 44:28 on a Macey Wissell assist. 

In the second half, freshman Kaitlyn Venzen scored on a Krest pass at 49:39 to the lead to 3-0, and junior Savannah Alexander capped the scoring at 69:16.

The Eagles led in shots, 19-0, as well as in corner kicks, 4-0. Senior Caroline Sheusi and freshman Adriana Thompson combined for the shutout in goal, without making a save.

UMW will be back in action on Saturday when the Eagles host Salisbury University at 1:00 p.m.
