UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Randolph-Macon, 1-0, on Wednesday Evening

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Randolph-Macon College on Wednesday evening in Ashland, Va. The Eagles slip to 2-2 on the season.

The Yellow Jackets scored the lone goal of the contest at 16:01, when Katie Schwalen's cross from the right side deflected off an Eagle defender and into goal. Neither team would finish for a score the rest of the way.

The Eagles dominated in shots, 16-2, and corner kicks, 7-1. Freshman goalie Haley Randall made one save in goal for the Eagles, while Elizabeth Blanco made two saves for Randolph-Macon.

Mary Washington will return to action on Saturday, when they host Coast Guard Academy at 12:30 p.m. as part of the UMW Classic. Live video for the game will be available, as well as live stats.
