Senior goalie Charlotte Owens stopped an incredible three penalty kicks in regulation, but the University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Frostburg State University on Saturday in the Capital Athletic conference championship.

In an evenly played first half, the Bobcats held an 8-6 shot advantage, but neither team would score, as the game went to halftime scoreless. Owens stopped a penalty kick from Brooke Longo in the 43rd minute to keep the game scoreless.

In the second, Frostburg outshot the Eagles, 14-6, and found the nets in the 61st minute on a goal from Erin Worthman. The Bobcats finally nabbed an insurance goal with five minutes remaining on a score from Melanie Bell.

In all, FSU led in shots, 22-12, and in corner kicks, 7-1. Owens made nine saves in the contest, while Katie Smith had five stops for Frostburg.
