UMW Women's Soccer Falls at Frostburg in CAC Action, 3-0, on Wednesday Night

The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Frostburg State University on Wednesday night in Capital Athletic Conference action. The Eagles fall to 7-4-1 overall.

The Bobcats jumped ahead at 9:09, as Melanie Bell scored on an Erin Worthman assist. FSU held a 1-0 lead until just before halftime, when Worthman scored at 40:18. The Bobcats led, 2-0, at halftime.

In the second half, Frostburg added an insurance goal at 53:08, as Stephanie Fazenbaker scored.

Frostburg led in shots, 15-11, and in corner kicks, 4-2. UMW goalkeeper Sara Armor had two saves, while Katie Smith had three for Frostburg.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they visit York College of Pa. at 12:30 p.m. in another CAC contest.
