UMW Women's Soccer Gains Scoreless Tie in CAC Thriller at York

The university of Mary Washington women's soccer team gained a scoreless draw at York College of Pa. on Saturday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action. UMW moves to 8-1-2 on the season, and 1-1-2 in league play.

The Eagles led in shots, 15-13, and the Spartans had a 5-4 edge in corner kicks. UMW goalkeeper Charlotte Owens had six saves in 80 minutes, including a stop of a YCP penalty kick, and Alyssa Goodwin had one save in 30 minutes for the Eagles. York's Melanie Glessner had eight saves.

The Eagles will return to action on Monday when they host Shenandoah University at 4:00 p.m.
