The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Hood College in the regular season finale on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles finish the regular season with an 8-5-3 overall mark.
After a scoreless first half, Hood's Stevey Markovich scored the game's only goal in the 70th minute after a deflected shot off of UMW goalie Tina Brehm. In all, UMW led in shots, 24-6, and in corner kicks, 6-1.
Hood goalie Rachelle Buhrman had 10 saves while Brehm had two saves for the Eagles. Mary Washington will visit St. Mary's College on Saturday in the first round of the Capital Athletic Conference Tournament at 1:00 p.m.
