The University of Mary Washington women's basketball and women's soccer teams volunteered at the 19th Annual Riverfest held at Farley Vale Farms on September 18. The Riverfest is the primary fundraiser for Friends of the Rappahannock, an organization working to protect the Rappahannock River. The evening consisted of all-you-can-eat crabs, baby-back ribs, live music from local artist, and a live auction. Over 1,400 local residents attended the event.
