UMW's Katie Blair, Cailyn Tripp Named C2C Women's Lax Players of the Week

The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the fifth week of the 2023 women's lacrosse season. Mary Washington's Katie Blair was tabbed C2C Offensive Player of the Week, while the Eagles Cailyn Tripp captured C2C Defensive Player of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Katie Blair, Mary Washington

Junior Katie Blair scored eight goals and added an assist as Mary Washington split its two games this week. Blair scored two goals and assisted on another in a 12-8 loss to Stevens on Wednesday, and then scored six times as the Eagles defeated Washington College on Saturday.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cailyn Tripp, Mary Washington

Junior Cailyn Tripp led Mary Washington to a split this week, registering 28 saves in two games. She stopped 13 shots in a 12-8 loss to Stevens and then collected 15 more saves in a 16-12 win over Washington College, for a .538 save percentage.
