The University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team has been picked third in the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference preseason coaches poll, released Wednesday.
Mary Washington opens the 2023 season with high hopes, with the return of all-C2C and all-region attacker Katie Blair, who netted 55 goals and seven assists a year ago in 15 games. Also back to lead the offense are Kayla Sarazin (27 goals, 25 assists), Erin Steinberg (22 goals, seven assists), and Clare Madden (14 goals, six assists). Returning starters Maria Schneider, Meredith Farley and Rachel Oestrike will lead a group that includes 22 returning players, including eight seniors.
The Eagles ope the season on February 18 at the University of Lynchburg.
