Blair, Sarazin Lead UMW Women's Lacrosse Past Lebanon Valley, 14-10

Sophomore attacker Katie Blair scored five goals and added one assist, and junior attacker Kayla Sarazin added five scores to lead the University of Mary Washington women's lacrosse team to a 14-10 victory over Lebanon Valley College at the Battleground on Tuesday. UMW improves to 3-1 on the season.

The Eagles raced out to a 6-0 lead, scoring three in the first quarter (with two from Sarazin and another from Blair), and in the second, Rebecca Pullen, Sarazin, and Molly Daw found the nets as the Eagles raced to a six-goal margin. Lebanon Valley capped the second quarter scoring, and the score stood at 6-1 at halftime.

In the third, Blair led the way as the Eagles ouscored the Dutchmen, 5-4, netting three goals, while Clare Madden and Sarazin also scored. In the fourth quarter, Sarazin, Blair, and Madden each scored to lift the Eagles to the four-goal victory.

UMW led in shots, 35-22. Reilly Miller made four stops in goal for UMW.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they visit Stevenson University at 1:00 p.m.
