Mary Washington senior Corinne Wiederkehr was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after notching eight goals and two assists in wins over Wesley and Marymount last week that clinched a CAC Tournament berth for the Eagles. Wiederkehr had two goals and two assists in the win over Wesley, and tallied six goals on just seven shots in the victory over Marymount. She also contributed five ground balls, one draw control and caused two turnovers for the week.

York senior Karlie Dougherty was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after helping the Spartans to a 2-0 week and the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CAC Tournament. Against St. Mary's, Dougherty recorded seven draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover in the Spartans' 15-9 win. In a 13-7 victory over Christopher Newport, she led a Spartan defense that held the Captains scoreless throughout the final 36:24 of the game. She posted six draw controls, four caused turnovers and a ground ball against CNU.

No. 1 Salisbury and No. 2 York earned first round byes and will host semifinal games next weekend ... CNU's Meaghan Galvin led the Captains with nine points and four assists last week ...
