The Mary Washington women's basketball team is ranked in D3hoops.com's latest Top 25 poll as the nation's No. 22 team, the publication announced on Monday afternoon.

The Eagles, who were ranked No. 25 after the poll's release last week, took home two victories from the previous week to improve to 7-1 this season. UMW beat Southern Virginia, 65-35 on Tuesday, then took down Marymount at home on Saturday, 67-60.

Jordan Carpenter was named the Coast-to-Coast's Player of the Week for her efforts in the Eagles' pair of wins after she averaged 13.5 points-per-game with 9.5 boards and recorded her sixth double-double of the season on Saturday.

The Eagles have now been ranked in every poll released this season by D3hoops.com and welcome Messiah (RV) to Fredericksburg on Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. tip-off.\

The D3hoops.com Top 25 is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country, and is published weekly. Points are awarded on a 25-24-23-22-etc. basis.
