University of Mary Washington junior Jordan Carpenter and senior Greg Rowson have been named to the women's and men's all-region 6 teams by D3hoops.com on Tuesday.
Carpeneter ranked as one of the most efficient players in all of Division III basketball, shooting 58.2% from the field while averaging 15.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Eagles, who advanced to the sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. She was named to the second team by the website.
Rowson, the 2023 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, led the Eagles with 16.9 PPG and 6.3 rebounds per contest. He shot 45.3% from the field, including 34.0% from three-point range. Rowson, a first team selection, capped his outstanding career with 1,284 points, good for 10th place in school history, despite playing just 78 games.
