University of Mary Washington senior Brianne Comden has been named as a first team all-Middle Atlantic Region selection by D3Hoops.com, as announced Monday.
Comden closed her outstanding career by leading UMW to its second straight NCAA Division III Tournament this year, averaging 15.8 points per game while shooting 48.5% from the field.
She finished her career ranked third all time in UMW women's basketball scoring history, with 1,503 points. This season, she scored 457 points, including 31 against Wesley on January 14. She scored 20-plus points eight times, and also averaged 5.8 rebounds per game.
Comden will now be eligible for D3Hoops.com All-America honors, which will be announced in the coming days.
