UMW Men's and Women's Indoor Track Opens Competition at C2C Championships

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's indoor track and field teams opened competition at the 2024 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in Newport News, Va., on Friday night.

For the men, in the 60 meter dash prelims, Jacinto Jones II was second at 7.03, and Justin Ford was third, at 7.04. The men's distance medley relay finished third at 10:46.82, and Samuel Gowe finished second in the long jump, at 6.71 meters, with Aidan Smagh taking fifth at 6.33 meters.

On the women's side, the distance medley relay finished fourth at 14:02.08. Faith Jones was seventh in the weight throw, at 8.03 meters.

The championships will continue on Saturday.
