For the first time this season, a Mary Washington track and field athlete has been named Coast-to-Coast Conference Athlete of the Week, per a release from the conference on Monday morning.

Sophomore Jacinto Jones II broke the Mary Washington indoor school record in the 300 meters on Friday at VMI, running to a time of 35.23 seconds. His time is the 10th fastest in Division III this season.

The indoor track and field team are headed to Lynchburg, Va. for the Liberty Open on Feb. 3.
