Jones Breaks 300 Meters Record as UMW Track & Field Competes at VMI

UMW sophomore Jacinto Jones II broke the school record in the 300 meters, as the UMW Indoor Track & Field teams competed at the VMI Invitational this weekend.

Jones ran to a time of 35.23 seconds, highlighting a big weekend for the men. Aidan Kimener ran the 800 meters at 2:02, Jacob Lohr ran the 3000 meters at 8:55.56, and Jones ran the 60 meters at 7.02, just ahead of Justin Ford's 7.03. Reese Creadon ran the 60 hurdles at 8.50 and Ethan Young came in at 8.56.

For the women, Sophia Redmond ran the 200 meters at 26.37, and Allison Richards ran the 60 meters at 8.35.
