Keyes, Smith, Woodrum Named to VaSID All-State College Division Women's Track & Field Team

Freshman Makaila Keyes and seniors Jackie Smith and Jean Woodrum have been named to the 2021 Virginia Sports Information Directors College Division All-State Women's Track and Field team, as announced Wednesday.

Keyes, the Coast 2 Coast Conference Rookie of the Year, was named to the second team. In her first year as a collegiate student athlete, Keyes had the top time in the 400, winning the conference championship. She also finished with the second best time in the conference in the 100 and 200, finishing 4th and 2nd in those two events at the conference championship, respectively.

Smith, a second team choice, was the 2021 Coast 2 Coast champion in the javelin, at 117 feet, 10 inches. She had a season-best 123'7.5" against Shenandoah.

Woodrum was an all-conference selection after gaining all-conference honors in the discus and hammer throw, with highs of 37 feet, six inches in the shot put, 126'7" in the discus, and 134'9" in the hammer throw.
