
The University of Mary Washington men's ande women's indoor track and field teams both improved on their position from last year's Capital Athletic Conference championships, as the men finished third and the women fourth on Saturday at Newport News, Va.
For the women on Saturday, Erin Andrewlevich finished third in the 200 meters at 26.42, while Janel Moore finished fourth at 26.56. Jillian Weisbeck broke the meet record in winning the 3,000 meters at 10:33.04.
On the men's side, Jose Mundo finished second in a photo finish in the 60 meters at 6.97 seconds. Jeff Gibson was third in the 3000 meters at 8:35.17, and David Danek won the high jump at six feet, eight inches, while Rajai Walton finished second at six feet, 5.5 inches. Walton took second in the long jump at 22 feet, 6.25 inches, and Daniel Forjan won the shot put with a throw of 49 feet, 10.5 inches.
