University of Mary Washington freshman Glenn Taylor finished fourth in his heat, and 12th overall, in the preliminaries of the 100 meters at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships on Friday.
Taylor ran to a time of 10.77 seconds, just eight hundredths of a second away from qualifying in the top eight for finals. "For Glenn, a freshman, it was a great experience", said UMW head coach Stan Soper. "Hopefully it will help him moving forward next year."
