Mary Washington sophomore TARA LANDY (Burke, Va./Lake Braddock), York sophomore CAROLINE DeLANY (Frederick, Md./Tuscurora) and Frostburg State junior MORGAN CARROLL (Smithsburg, Md./Frederick) were selected as the CAC Women’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for Jan. 22, 2013.

Landy and DeLany were named the Women’s Track Co-Athletes of the Week. Landy earned the honor when she crossed the finish line in the 5,000-meter run at Saturday’s University of Maryland Invitational with a personal best time of 19:10.98. DeLany finished third among Division III runners at the Maryland Invitational in the mile (5:34.86) and 3,000-meter (11:22.24) runs.

Carroll was named the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after finishing second in the high jump at the Marietta Open. When she cleared 1.55m, she was just 0.03 meters away from an ECAC Championship qualifying mark.
