Mary Washington softball's home doubleheader with Messiah for Saturday, March 2, has been postponed to a later, undetermined date, the program's head coach Hannah Qualls announced. The postponment comes with concern of the incoming weather to the Fredericksburg area on Saturday. The Eagles are coming off of a doubleheader split with Washington on Friday night. 

Mary Washington baseball, too, postponed its first game in Tennessee on Friday afternoon. The Eagles will play two games at the Tennessee Smokies stadium on Saturday, March 2. The Eagles will play Piedmont at 11 a.m. and Ferrum at 6 p.m. UMW started its season 7-0 and looks to continue its hot start to the 2024 season and pick up head coach Kelley Swiney's 300th career victory on Saturday -- Swiney currently sits at 298 career wins.
