Sophomore pitcher Caitlyn Burch has been named as the March winner of the Virginia Lottery/UMW Athletics Female Student-Athlete of the Month.

Burch turned in a historic March, scoring her first collegiate no hitter, and gained AFCA/Wilson Gloves National Division III Pitcher of the Week during the month. In all, she went 8-3 in the circle, and in 77 innings pitched, allowed 55 hits and 15 earned runs, for an outstanding ERA of 1.36. During the month, she walked just 18 batters and struck out 86 batters.

She gained Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for two weeks during the month, and ranks sixth in the nation in strikeouts.
