The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the third week of the 2022 softball season. Mary Washington sophomore Caitlyn Burch claimed C2C Pitcher of the Week honors.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK: Caitlyn Burch - Mary Washington
Mary Washington sophomore Caitlyn Burch continued to impress this week, gaining four victories as Mary Washington concluded a successful spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. The sophomore won all four of her starts, allowing just one earned run on 13 hits in 28 innings, with three walks and 25 strikeouts. She opened the week with a two-hit shutout win over Grove City with five strikeouts, and followed the next day with a three-hit complete game 2-1 win over Widener, with four strikeouts. Burch allowed two hits and one unearned run in seven innings in an 8-1 win over Methodist with seven K's, and closed the week with a 7-1 win over Waynesburg, striking out nine in seven innings, with no earned runs allowed.
