The University of Mary Washington softball team defeated John Jay, 10-0, and Rosemont College, 11-1, on Wednesday in Myrtle Beach at the Snowbird Spring Training. UMW improves to 3-1 on the season.

Senior Hannah Otterman pitched a two hitter against John Jay, with senior Alex Tenney hitting two doubles and driving in three runs. Kate Chisholm had two singles and three RBI, Zoie Patrick had a two-run single, and Olivia Tatara added a double for the Eagles.

In the nightcap against Rosemont, Stefannie Asselanis had two hits, two stolen bases, and three RBI to lead the way offensively. Patrick had a two-run double, Hannah Williams provided a two-run single, and Emily Briggs added a two-run single.

The Eagles will continue in Myrtle Beach on Thursday with another pair of games.
