The University of Mary Washington softball team won a pair of games on Monday in Myrtle Beach, S.C., as part of their spring break trip. The Eagles beat LaRoche College, 11-4, and then beat Mount Aloysius College, 3-0.

In the opener against LaRoche, sophomore shortstop Bireet Chitty went 4-4 with four runs scored, and senior first baseman Morgan Lamon went 3-4 with five RBI and two runs scored. Junior left fielder Brandee Adams waas 3-4 with three runs scored, and junior Annie Blaine earned the win.

The Eagles topped Mt. Aloysius, 3-0, thanks to Amanda Adams' two hits and RBI, Crystal Treat's RBI triple, and Michelle Durnavich's triple. Freshman Hannah Otterman allowed two hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in the shutout victory.

Mary Washington (4-6) will continue in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday.
