Owen Findley comes to the University of Mary Washington after spending a year at University of North Carolina Greensboro as an assistant coach for the women's tennis program. While also in Greensboro, he was the Director of Racquets for Friendly Park Swim & Tennis Club. Prior to that, he was the Director of Pickleball and Head Racquet professional for the junior and adult tennis program at the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club in Owings Mills, MD.

Findley has coached a DI top 115 player and a DIII All-American doubles team.

He graduated Cum Laude from Methodist University in 2021. He was a member of the varsity men’s tennis team. Owen majored in Marketing with a concentration in Professional Tennis Management, while also earning a certificate in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport and Coaching.  As part of his Professional Tennis Management program, he spent three summers during college completing tennis internships in NJ and MD. Each internship required the completion of 360 teaching hours. He is certified as a teaching professional by the USPTA and PTR and is also certified as a Pickleball instructor. He also spent multiple stops training at Sanchez-Casal Academy in Barcelona, Spain. Owen is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina.
