#18 UMW Men's Tennis Splits Matches with Carnegie Mellon, Pfeiffer

The 18th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team split a pair of Saturday matches, falling 7-2 to Carnegie Mellon University and then defeating Pfeiffer University, 9-0. The Eagles move to 11-4 on the season.

In the CMU match, the Eagles gained a win at one doubles, as Rishi Charan Shankar and Peter Leese won at one, 8-6, over Raghav Jangbahadour and Daniel Kong. Leese scored another point with at five singles, winning 6-0, 3-0 (ret.).

The Eagles rebounded to top Pfeiffer, 9-0. UMW saw doubles wins from Evan Fisher and Jack Riordan at one (8-1), Artis Hart and Trevor Rein at two (8-5), and Drew Campbell and Andrew Cooper at three (8-2).

Singles wins were gained from Brock Ladehoff at one, Albert Vladimirskiy at two, Rein at three, Riordan at four, Ryan Meyer at five, and Jacob Pfab at six.

The Eagles will be back in action on Friday at Brandeis College at 3:30 p.m.
