#29 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #15 Swarthmore, 7-2

The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision a 15th ranked Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon. The 29th ranked Eagles slip to 9-3 on the season.

The Eagles fought hard in all three doubles matches, but dropped all three by narrow margins. Rishi Charan Shankar and Peter Leese fell at one, 8-5, Evan Fisher and Jack Riordan dropped an 8-6 decision at two, and Brock Ladehoff and Trevor Rein fell at three, 8-7.

UMW scored its singles wins by Artis Hart at three, 2-6, 6-4, 1-0, over Rushil Patel, and from Evan Fisher at six, 7-6, 0-6, 11-9, over Lalith Suresh.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newpor University on April 5 at 3:30 p.m.
