#26 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #19 NC Wesleyan on Saturday

The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at 19th ranked North Carolina Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon in Rocky Mount, N.C. The Eagles slip to 6-4 on the season.

The Eagles opened with a rocky start, falling in all three doubles matches. Rishi Charan Shankar and Peter Leese fell at one, 8-7, Brock Ladehoff and Andrew Watson fell at two, 8-5, and Andrew Cooper and Artis Hart dropped an 8-1 score at three.

In singles, UMW gained a point from Ladehoff at three, as he defeated Tshego Mosarwa, 1-6, 7-6, 1-0. Leese gained a 6-3, 0-1 (ret.) win at five.

The Eagles will return to action next Friday at Denison University at 3:00 p.m.
