The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team wrapped up its spring trip to California with a 7-2 victoy over Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference foe UC Santa Cruz on Friday evening in Claremont, Cal. The Eagles improve to 4-2 on the season.

UMW started with a pair of wins in doubles, as Brock Ladehoff and Andrew Cooper claimed an 8-6 win at two, and Peter Leese and Artis Hart won, 8-3, at three.

In singles, Rishi Charan Shankar won at one, 6-1, 6-4, Andrew Watson won at two, 6-2, 6-2, and Ladehoff was victorious at three, 6-5 (ret.). Leese won at four, 7-6, 6-3, and Ryan Meyer won at six, 6-4, 6-2.

The Eagles will return to action on Friday when they host Washington & Lee University at 4:00 p.m.
