The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2023 spring tennis season.  

MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Peter Leese - Mary Washington

Junior Peter Leese led #18 Mary Washington to a pair of weekend victories this week, gaining two singles wins and two doubles wins. On Saturday in a 5-4 win over Washington College, Leese won at five singles over Ryohei Kawai, 6-0, 7-5, and teamed with Brock Ladehoff to win at three doubles, 8-2. On Sunday in a 7-2 win over Stevens Institute, Leese won at five singles, 6-4, 6-1, and teamed with Andrew Cooper at three doubles to win, 8-4.

WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Amanda Hagino - Mary Washington

Mary Washington senior Amanda Hagino turned in an excellent opening weekend for #14 Mary Washington, with a pair of singles wins and a doubles triumph. On Saturday against Washington College, Hagino won her two singles match over Piper Sartison, 6-0, 6-0, and on Sunday upset nationally ranked Lily McCloskey of Case Western, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6. She teamed with Abby Moghtader at one doubles to claim an 8-0 victory over Washington on Saturday as well.
