The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at the University of Redlands on Thursday in California. The Eagles slip to 3-2 on the season.
UMW opened with two wins in doubles. Rishi Charan Shankar and Nick Spera were victorious at one, 8-7 (3), and Peter Leese and Cole Tecce won at three, 8-4.
In singles, Charan Shankar won at two, 6-1, 7-6 (9), and Tecce won at five, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The Eagles will visit Southern Virginia University next Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
