#15 UMW Men's Tennis Edges #24 Johns Hopkins, 5-4, on Saturday

The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated 24th ranked Johns Hopkins University, 5-4, on Saturday in Baltimore. The Eagles improve to 20-4 on the season.

In doubles, the Eagles found themselves uncharacteristically trailing, 2-1, after UMW picked up one point at three, as Michael Fleming and Patrick Hughes won, 8-6.

In singles, the Eagles scored wins from Matt Miles at two, 6-4, 6-3, Moses Hutchison at three, 6-1, 6-7, 6-4, Derek Hagino at five, 6-3, 6-7, 7-5, and from Cole Tecce at six, 7-6, 6-1.

The Eagles will host Southern Virginia University on Tuesday in the Capital Athletic Conference semifinals at 4 p.m.
