Mary Washington sophomore Joseph Brown was selected as the CAC Player of the Week after helping the 16th-ranked Eagles to a perfect 4-0 week, including a 3-0 mark against CAC opponents, as he went 4-0 in singles play. Brown defeated Josh Leiner of 20th-ranked Bates at the No. 3 singles spot, 6-4, 6-3, and then topped Sam Innerst of York at No. 2, 6-3, 6-0, on Saturday. On Sunday, Brown defeated Pranoy Banka of Penn State Harrisburg, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 2, and then beat Andy Mason of 36th-ranked CNU, 6-3, 6-3, to cap an undefeated weekend.

In the ITA National Team Rankings, Mary Washington is ranked No. 16 and Christopher Newport is No. 36 ... Frostburg State junior Shasta Braithwaite posted a pair of close results at No. 1 singles last week as the Bobcats opened up their spring schedule ... St. Mary's Jon Gorel went 3-1 on the weekend in the No. 1 slot in both singles and doubles. Gorel currently leads the Seahawks with seven singles wins ... Southern Virginia went 1-1 last week in CAC action, including a 9-0 win against Frostburg State. Sophomore Ben Spencer was the only Knight to not drop a game in singles or doubles against the Bobcats.
