The 16th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision at 14th ranked Pomona Pitzer Colleges on Friday afternoon in California. The Eagles slip to 7-2 on the season.
The Eagles picked up a point at three doubles, as Derek Hagino and Patrick Hughes won by a score of 8-4, after the Eagles lost by scores of 8-4 and 8-4 at one and two.
In singles, the Eagles gained a point from Joseph Brown at three singles, 7-5, 2-6, 10-8, and from Ryland Byrd at five singles, 1-6, 7-6 (10), 10-3.
The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, March 17 when they visit Washington & Lee University at 2:00 p.m.
