The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at 18th ranked University of Redlands on Saturday in the final match of its spring trip. UMW falls to 6-4 on the season.
The Eagles picked up their point at three doubles, as Patrick Hughes and Derek Hagino won by a score of 9-7. Both one and two doubles lost in tiebreakers.
Redlands would go on to win each of the singles matches for the 8-1 win.
Mary Washington will be back in action next Saturday when they host Washington & Lee University at 12 p.m.
