Carver was a key member of five conference championships at Norfolk Academy. During that time, his team also won two Virginia Prep League Championships in 2001 and 2002. In juniors, Eddie was ranked in the top 15 of the USTA Mid-Atlantic section in B18’s in 2002.

2007: First Team All-CAC Singles; First Team All-CAC Doubles. Eddie transferred to UMW in January after starting his career at Georgetown, where he was a starter in singles and doubles as a freshman. He posted significant wins over Swarthmore and College of New Jersey. In doubles, he had big wins over Claremont, Washington & Lee, and Swarthmore.
