UMW Men's Swimming Tops Randolph-Macon on Thursday Night

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 173-85 win at Randolph-Macon College on Thursday evening.

The Eagles kicked off the night with a win in the 400 medley relay, as Tyler Sykes, Will Burkey, Larry Almariento, and Conrad Tan opened with a time of 3:43.82. Kyle Johnson won the 100 free at 10:43.73, and Almariento won the 200 free at 1:51.61. Paul Datovech won the 50 backstroke at 25.14, Aidan Deege won the 50 breaststroke at 27.19, and Jonathan Zimmer won the 200 fly at 2:00.76. 

Burkey won the 50 free at 22.25, Darl Everett won the 100 free at 49.62, and Johnson won the 200 backstroke at 2:03.66. Almariento won the 200 breast at 2:27.01, Logan Dewalt won the 500 free at 5:09.10, and Almariento then won the 200 IM at 2:07.12. The 200 free relay of Burkey, Eli Polovchik, Preston Trevey, and Guenter Kryszon won at 1:30.34.

The Eagles will host the alumni on Saturday, before visiting Franklin & Marshall along with York College on November 4.
