UMW Men's Swimming Tops Randolph-Macon, 143-98, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team defeated Randolph-Macon College, 143-98, on Saturday afternoon in Ashland, Va. The Eagles improve to 3-1 on the season.

The Eagles started swiftly, finishing 1-2 in the 400 yard individual medley, as Paul Datovech, Jacob Roth, Zach Cherry, and Kolin Hoffman finished first at 3:40.99, and Kyle Diederich, Conrad Tan, Ellis Winfree, and Brendan Huber-Wilker took second at 3:41.37. Sean Blackmer finished first in the 1000 yard freestyle at 10:35.90, and Conrad Tan followed with a win in the 200 yard individual medley at 2:00.87.

Datovech finished first in the 50 yard backstroke at 25.44, and Steven Wallach won the 50 yard breaststroke at 28.80. Cherry won the 100 yard butterfly at 55.02, and Thomas Leckrone won the 50 freestyle at 22.57. Tan then won the 100 IM at 55.98, and Eliot Frankovich followed with a win in the 100 backstroke at 57.19. Aidan Deege won the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:02.05, Blackmer won the 500 free at 5:09.57, and Cherry won the 50 fly at 24.74. 

Tan won the 400 IM at 4:21.26, and UMW finished 1-2 in the 200 free relay, with Frankovich, Jakob Robinette, Hoffman, and Diederich taking first at 1:30.82, and Cherry, Darl Everett, Huber-Wilker, and Logan Dewalt taking second at 1:32.03.
