
The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team opened the Capital Athletic Conference schedule with a 98-24 win at Frostburg State University on Friday night. The Eagles improve to 2-1 on the season.
The Eagles won the 200 meter relay at 1:49.63 (Sean Mayer, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Dallas Tarkenton, Vance Solseth), and gained wins from Zach Esig in the 400 meters (4:24.75) and the 800 meters (9:12.27), Tyler Gimple in the 200 freestyle (2:03.28), Mayer in the 50 backstroke (28.69), Ricardo Bonilla-Vazquez in the 100 butterfly (59.87) and the 100 backstroke (1:05.02), Matt Garstka in the 500 freestyle (24.91), Solseth in the 100 freestyle (55.68), Tarkenton in the 50 butterfly (26.03) and 100 IM (1:01.31). The 400 meter free relay of Bonilla-Vazquez, Tyler Gimple, Eisig, and Huber-Wilker won at 3:45.03.
Mary Washington will be back in action tomorrow whgen they host Randolph-Macon College at 12:00 p.m.
