Sophomore Alex Anderson won one national championship on Thursday, and will be looking for another on Friday in the 200 yard butterfly to highlight a busy day for the UMW Swimmers at the NCAA Championships in Shenandoah, Texas.
Anderson, seeded first in the event, will look to become the first multiple individual national champion in any sport in school history. Also competing on Friday will be freshmen Katie Fago and Michael Yelmgren in the 100 yard backstroke, Amber Kerico and Peter Slattery in the 100 yard breastsroke, and the men will also swim the 800 yard freestyle relay.
