Kerico Gains All-America Honors in 200 Breaststroke to Cap UMW Swim Teams' Week at NCAA Championships

Junior Amber Kerico notched an 11th place finish in the 200 yard breaststroke at the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday in Shenandoah, Texas. Kerico placed 11th with a time of 2:20.25 in picking up her second All-America performance of the week.

In the morning preliminaries, senior Nick Eckhoff finished 30th in the 200 yard backstroke at 1:53.93; the women's 400 free relay of Stephanie Hallock, Hannah Hagy, Katie Fago, and Kerico finished 23rd with a time of 3:33.99; and the men's 400 free relay of Alex Anderson, Sean Mayer, Jack McHugh, and Eckhoff placed 21st at 3:05.70.

The Eagle men finished the championship in 19th place with 47 points, while the women placed 38th with 10 points.
