MEN’S SWIMMING
Mary Washington freshman ZACH EISIG (Damascus, Md./Damascus) was named the CAC Men’s Swimming Athlete of the Week after he won three events and broke a pool record while leading the Eagles to a pair of CAC dual meet victories and to the top of the conference standings. WOMEN’S SWIMMING
Mary Washington freshman KATIE FAGO (East Windsor, N.J./Peddie School) was named the CAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week after winning two individual events, posting a second-place finish and contributing to a pool record relay team while leading the Eagles to a pair of CAC victories. In a midweek win at St. Mary’s, Fago took gold in the 100 backstroke (1:11.77), followed by a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:10.39) and a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (28.84) in Saturday’s win at Salisbury. Fago also helped UMW win the 200 medley relay in both meets, setting a pool record at Salisbury (2:07.49), nearly three seconds faster than the Eagles’ performance against SMC.
