On Saturday November 19, 2011, the UMW swimmers left the pool and took to the roads to participate in the Relay for Life’s “Fight Back 5K” to help raise funds for cancer research and awareness. The team was well represented as all 53 members completed the course; senior Caroline DeLuca was the overall winner for the women and sophomore Allison Martin finished in third place. The team is back in the pool now getting ready for the Gettysburg Invitational on December 2-3 and will participate in the Relay for Life on campus in the spring.
