Both of the University of Mary Washington women's swimmers that
advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championships were in
action Friday morning, as senior Megan DeSmit and sophomore Amber
Kerico both competed in the preliminaries in the 100 yard
breaststroke. DeSmit finished 24th overall with a time of 1:06.69,
while Kerico finished 25th at 1:06.82.
On Saturday, in the final day of competition, both DeSmit and
Kerico, as well as Alex Anderson on the men's side will
compete in the 200 yard breaststroke, and all could challenge for
All-America honors.
